A Quick Look at Some Statistics and Summaries in the Ohio Valley District
Compiled from Surveys done at District Conference 2007 & Annual Reports
Taken from 2006 Annual Reports (I have rounded off the numbers for this report):
· Total Inclusive Members/Adherents 15,000
· Total membership 4,400
· Conversions reached 2000 or 18% growth in relationship to Sunday AM Attendance
· GCF Giving was $1,870,240 which is more than twice the Faith Promise Pledge
· An additional $200,000 was given to CAMA and $163,000 to Other C&MA missions.
· Total to C&MA Missions was $2,233,000 or 10% better than the year before.
· All of our churches contributed to the C&MA missions advance.
· 4,900 units support Total Operations Giving and 1,350 support the GCF
· 28% of family giving units contributed to the GCF.
· Of the families that give to the GCF their giving per unit is highest in the Ohio Valley District ($1,390/unit) of all US C&MA districts.
· If every church gave 10% of their operations to the Global efforts we would have given $1,240,000 which is about $600,000 under what we gave through the Faith Promise approach..
· 15% of the Operations Costs is being given to the GCF in our district (This excludes building fund giving)
· If you add CAMA and Other C&MA, we give around 18% of our operating incomes.
Funding Survey Taken At District Conference
· Most of our churches use the traditional model of giving.
· None of the churches using that model would like to change to another.
· About 40% emphasize the Year End Giving Appeal
· The reasons for this are: busy time of year, local needs, focus year round on giving to GCF, comes right after missions conference and difficult to make strong appeal for both
· Most of our churches (About 85%) support and emphasize the “Above and Beyond” May offering.
Partnerships Survey Taken At District Conference
· 17 of our churches have some form of partnership right now
· About 20 expressed an interest in doing either a cluster (with other churches), district, or zone partnership
· Most of the 17 partnerships were developed through strong relationships
· When asked about the benefits, those surveyed listed: more personal, connected with short term trips, given access to needs, increased enthusiasm, increased giving.
· When asked about the downsides people listed: might neglect other fields, difficult to keep fresh, etc.

The Intern Coordinator for LIFE 2007 is looking for college students who are interested in helping at LIFE. Their responsibility would be to serve as “shock absorbers” throughout the week. They would help where needed, fill the gaps, and basically be there to help insure that teens get the most out of their LIFE experience as possible. If you know of college students who are interested in ministry and have a heart for youth have them contact:
